"Its not every day one comes across good theater in the post-Beckett era. It is even more rare to come across good theater in a city like Buffalo. But like many good things in life, finding them requires a little digging...one finds gold."---UB SPECTRUM

The Last Meeting of the Knights of the White Magnolia
Written By
Preston Jones
The final production in the 2009-10 season features a cantankerous assembly of old-timers gathering for the last time as they try to keep the "old ways" together in a small Texas town. Preston Jones' "The Last Meeting of the Knights of the White Magnolia" is a tongue-and-cheek comedic and absurdist look at a group of characters gathering not to preserve the "old ways" of racial segregation but to drink and play cards.
Directed by Matthew LaChiusa this production will take patrons through a whirlwind of ridiculous ceremonies, shell-shocked old-timers and a cross-section of rich characters as seen through Mr. Jones' eyes.
"The Last Meeting of the Knights of the White Magnolia" show dates are scheduled from May 6th through May 22nd, Rust Belt Books, 202 Allen Street, Buffalo NY.
